An independent gallery and residency concept centered on women in contemporary photography. FEMIN was imagined as a space for emerging and established photographic voices, bringing exhibition, residency, and editorial programming into one evolving cultural identity.
The concept
FEMIN was conceived as more than a gallery identity. The idea was to create a visual world that could move between exhibitions, artists, editorial content, and physical space while maintaining a strong sense of recognition. The identity balances structure with interruption, allowing the work and the artists to remain at the center.
visual direction
Photography provides the atmosphere, while bold type and sharp graphic interventions build a visual language drawn from the medium itself. Framing, cropping, directional marks, and photographic symbols become part of the identity, creating something that feels both editorial and distinctly photographic.
social system
The identity extends into a flexible social language, where photography, typography, and graphic marks shift between editorial storytelling, artist features, and announcements.connect
